Southwire Avon Lake, Ohio has a goal of 100% participation for giving back to the community.  What an honor it was this Halloween to not only participate in the Halloween costume contest but to participate in the Meals on Wheels Program.  The Quality Department contacted me prior to the audit and asked if I would like to participate as part of the Scooby Doo Gang.  Of course, I said yes.  I’m Thelma.

When I arrived on site, I find out that we are also participating in the corporate Halloween costume contest.  How fun is that?  The company supports the Meals on Wheels Program as part of their giving back to the community. Part of the Scooby Doo Gang provided Meals on Wheels on Halloween day.

There is a total of 34 employees at the Avon Lake facility that volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program.  Avon Lake supports its employee’s participation during work hours.  They have been volunteering for this program since October of 2018.

It is always an honor to be included in special giving events.  I appreciate Southwire Avon Lake’s dedication to the community and I am especially grateful for being invited to participate in such a fun and worthy cause.  Thank you to Southwire Avon Lake, the Scooby Doo Gang and Monsters!
