MTA New York City Transit, Department of Capital Program Management – Recognized for 20 Years of ISO 9001 Registration
Capital Program Management was first registered to the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Standard in October 1994.
Since then, CPM has undergone biannual assessments by our registrar, DQS Inc., to confirm that we remain compliant with that standard’s extensive requirements relating to such activities as Customer Focus, Design and Development, Product Realization, Monitoring and Measurement, and Continual Improvement. CPM’s continuing compliance with the standard – as demonstrated by CPM’s program, support, and administrative staff over the past 20 years – has ensured CPM’s ongoing registration to this prestigious credential.
Representatives of DQS Inc. recently visited 2 Broadway to present CPM Senior Vice President Fred Smith with a plaque to mark the 20th anniversary of this accomplishment. During the ceremony, both Fred and Mike Caruso, VP Global Accreditation for DQS Inc., praised CPM staff for their part in establishing CPM as an industry leader in Quality Management.
To mark the occasion, ceremonial coffee mugs will be distributed to all CPM employees. The mugs display CPM’s Quality Policy: “To improve New York City’s transit system by designing and building world-class capital projects.”
