We continue to receive updates on the revisions for ISO 50001:2018, which is expected to be released sometime this year. You can read more about the DIS ISO 50001 standard on our previous blog, and take note of the following updates we received from IAF publications:
- The deadline for transition will be three years from the date of publication of the revised standard.
- Audits to ISO 50001:2011, including initial, surveillance, and recertification, will cease to take place 18 months from the date of publication of the revised standard.
- All certifications to ISO 50001:2011 will expire or be withdrawn at the end of the transition period.
We will continue to bring you more information when it becomes available. In the meantime, if you are interested in becoming certified to ISO 50001, you can request a quote here.
