Joins Small Number of Government Contracting Firms with this DistinctionQbase

Reston, VA —Qbase, LLC, a Reston and Beavercreek, Ohio-based software products and services company, today announced that it has received ISO 20000 certification, a distinction granted by the International Organization for Standardization, the independent, non-governmental membership organization that represents 163 countries around the world and develops universal specifications for products, services and systems to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.

“For more than a decade, our solutions have been depended upon in situations where it matters most,” said Qbase Senior Vice President Paul Pressel. “This certification is a validation of the trust our customers have placed in us and an assurance that they can continue to expect successful, effective partnerships with our products and our people.”

ISO 20000 certification is granted to information technology providers demonstrating superior IT processes, documentation, management and improvement. It promotes the “adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet the business and customer requirements.”

In a resource-constrained environment more businesses, and especially federal agencies, are demanding that their IT service providers share their commitment to efficiency, efficacy and managed processes. ISO 20000 certification is not currently a requirement of doing business with the federal government, however attaining this status places Qbase among a small group of contractors that have been certified; among them are large organizations like IBM, Oracle and SAP.

“We’re very pleased to have achieved this certification,” Pressel continued. “It’s a recognition of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our technologies and solutions meet the highest performance standards and the evolving expectations of our customer base.”

Over a six-month evaluation process, auditors assessed all facets of Qbase’s business – everything from hardware and inventory to licensing and business procedures to ensure the company’s products and services meet specific ISO 20000 requirements. The company passed its evaluation this summer.

Throughout the process, Qbase’s certification partner was UL DQS, whose Sales and Marketing VP Hoss Parandeh commented, “UL DQS understands the importance of ISO 20000 to Qbase LLC, and we are pleased to have been their certification body of choice for this achievement. ISO 20000 is an international IT standard that allows Qbase LLC to demonstrate excellence, prove best practice in IT management, and ensures that Qbase LLC can achieve evidence-based benchmarks to continuously improve their delivery of IT services.”
