DQS Inc. is proud to offer many informational sessions to help prepare our clients for the transition. As of August 16, 2016, we also have the following update on ISO 9001:2015 and the timeline to upgrade.

We have a list of 2015 Revision Courses to help prepare our clients for their ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 audits. Auditing to ISO 9001:2015

This is a comprehensive review with a two day interactive session that provides details on the major areas of changes as well as each section of the new standard. Workshops on risk-based thinking, identification of interested parties, leadership and process-based internal auditing are some of the focus areas.

As a prerequisite, please make sure you have at a minimum purchased and read the 2015 standard prior to attending.  Copies of the standard are not provided since it is copyrighted, and the expectation is to have a basic comprehension prior to attending. If you would like a precursor on the changes, you can review our five part webinar series on the changes before attending this class.

Key Objectives

The key objectives of ISO 9001:2015 draft design specification includes recommendations to:

  • Provide a stable core set of requirements for the next 10 years or more
  • Remain generic and relevant to all sizes and types of organization in any sector
  • Maintain the current focus on effective process management to produce desired outcomes/results
  • Take account of changes in quality management systems practices and technology since the last major revision in the year 2000
  • Reflect changes in the increasingly complex demanding and dynamic environments in which organizations operate
  • Apply Annex SL of the ISO Directives with the new high level structure which is common to all future and revised management system standards to enhance compatibility and alignment with other ISO management system standards
  • Facilitate effective organizational implementation and effective conformity assessment by first, second and third parties
  • Use simplified language and writing styles to aid understanding and consistent interpretations of its requirements
