MAQMSR

On-Site verification of supplier performance conditions to meet Quality Performance and Quality System Management are requirements (8.4.2.5) to maintain an IATF 16949:2015 certificate.

Performing on-site audits may be expensive in terms of resource management for your organization. Training, maintaining and implementing a 2nd party audit system may not be the best option for your organization.

DQS Inc. is offering a cost-effective Supplier Audit solution.  This may help to resolve

  • Any supplier related OEM concern
  • Poor performance in Quality and Delivery
  • New Supplier Risk Analysis

The other prevalent IATF Requirement is 8.4.2.3 which includes options for second party audits to MAQMSR or IATF 16949.

The IATF Sanctioned Interpretation # 8 provides further clarification if the intent firm the IATF.

The organization shall require their suppliers of automotive products and services to develop, implement, and improve a quality management system (QMS) with the ultimate objective of eligible organizations becoming certified to this Automotive QMS Standard.

Using a risk-based model, the organization shall define a minimum acceptable level of QMS development and a target QMS development level for each supplier.

Unless otherwise authorized by the customer, a QMS certified to ISO 9001 is the initial minimum acceptable level of development. Based on current performance and the potential risk to the customer, the objective is to move suppliers through the following QMS development progression.

DQS offers a Risk-Based Supplier Audit based on the Minimum Automotive Quality Management System Requirements for sub-Tier Suppliers.  This supplier audit may be customized to fit the needs of your Organization.

DQS offers:

  • Risk-Based Assessments focused on your organization’s requirements
  • Follow up audits based on OEM concerns
  • Verification of Corrective Actions to resolve OEM and organizational concerns for quality and delivery.
